About Project

OnePatch helps engineering teams see what happens after they ship code, investigate failures and fix what breaks.

The team came to Zyner for a new brand and website, with a Greek-themed logo in mind. They wanted the identity to communicate trust, authority and precision to engineers considering a tool for their production environment.

Challenge

Connect a classical reference to a technical product

The brief allowed four weeks for branding and a landing page. The audience and purpose were clear, but the visual direction needed exploration.

A Greek-inspired identity offered ideas of protection and strength. The work was to connect those ideas to OnePatch's product in a way that felt specific to the company.

The website then needed to carry that identity into an explanation of what OnePatch does and where it fits into an engineering team's work.

Branding

Find the mark in the language of code

We presented three visual directions in under 12 hours. OnePatch chose the heraldic direction, which we explored through a helmet, an eagle and a shield with a lion.

After reviewing the first logo options, the team asked to compare more abstract, technology-led ideas. We developed a mark from greater-than and less-than symbols, bringing them together so the negative space forms the number 1 in OnePatch.

That was the direction they selected. The familiar code symbols connected the logo to its engineering audience, while the hidden 1 tied it to the company's name. We designed the compact shape to work as a product icon and favicon as well as a brand mark.

Illustration system

Keep the classical influence in the wider brand

The logo became more abstract, but the Greek reference still had a place in the identity.

We developed an illustration system in an engraved linework style, drawing on the detailed texture of printed banknotes. Lighthouses and fortresses expressed the ideas of watchfulness and protection behind the product.

This gave the brand room for imagery and storytelling beyond the logo. The mark made the connection to code; the illustrations carried the classical character OnePatch had wanted from the start.

Website

Bring the identity into the product story

We designed and built the website using the same illustration system, carrying the lighthouses and fortresses into the page alongside the product messaging.

The page leads with "Stop shipping blind" and explains the gap between shipping code quickly and knowing what is happening in production. That gives the imagery a clear purpose: the themes of visibility and protection relate directly to the problem OnePatch addresses.

Result

OnePatch had a new brand and website, with a direction the team had chosen through the work.

The finished identity kept the classical influence OnePatch liked, with a logo rooted in the world its customers work in. The same illustrations carried that character into the website, which the team told us had received positive feedback.
